Dear Friends,
If you have been following your Bombarde in the early part of the year, you know that this is the 50th Anniversary year for the Brooklyn Chapter of the AGO. I am pleased to announce that your Board has decided to kick off the festivities by making September 11, 2010 our 50th Anniversary Day, with several opportunities for education, fun, reflection, and fellowship.
Following you will find a set of flyers outlining our planned activities for the day, which include:
- Bach to Brooklyn, with historian Andrew Dolkart leading us to churches in Bushwick and Clinton Hill. - a Service of Remembrance for 9/11, at St. Ann & the Holy Trinity Church - a Fall Banquet, at Eamonn’s in Brooklyn Heights (just down the street from St. Ann’s)Please look these flyers over. More information about our 50th Anniversary celebrations will come in the next issue of the Bombarde, which should be on its way to you shortly. In the meantime, I hope that many of you will be able to join us for some or all of our planned events on September 11. Please do not hesitate to let me or Sub-Dean Raymond Trapp know if you have any questions.
I wish all of you the very best for your coming year of music making, and hope that you will remember the Brooklyn Chapter as we celebrate 50 years in the AGO.
With all best wishes, Gregory Eaton Dean Download: 50th Anniversary Flyer
