The Brooklyn Chapter, AGO presents Playing the Music of Scott Joplin on the Organ. Saturday, March 10 at 2:00 pm, at St. Ann & the Holy Trinity Church.  This will be a lecture-demonstration by Gregory Eaton on the church’s historic 1925 E.M. Skinner organ, with a reception following.  Come learn how to translate Ragtime, a distinctly African American art form, to the King of Instruments.  This is FREE  to Brooklyn Chapter members; for all others, we are asking $10, or $5 for students.  See/download the flyer. The church is located at the corner of Clinton and Montague Streets in Brooklyn Heights, convenient to many subway and bus lines.
Sunday, April 22 at 4:00 pm, the Brooklyn Chapter presents its annual Members’ Recital.  Hosting the Chapter will be St. Paul’s Church, at the corner of Clinton & Carroll Streets in Carroll Gardens.  Chapter members who are interested in playing should contact sub-Dean Raymond Trapp, at RaymondTrapp@yahoo.com.  Attending the recital is open to all members and non-members of the Chapter, free of charge.
