Renowned New York organ builder Henry Erben turns 222 in 2022! A celebratory concert and an up-close Erben tour.

This in-person celebration includes: 

• Festive concert with the premiere (on organ) of Carson Cooman's A St. Patrick Silhouette

• Up-close Erben organ tour: take a look inside our 154-year-old pneumatic computer

• Special guests and delicious treats

Please Note: In accordance with the current Key to NYC guidelines, we will require attendees age 5 and older to show proof of FULL VACCINATION of the Covid vaccine. Masks required. All event staff and performers are vaccinated. We will have sanitizer and face coverings available for those who need them. Please see this link for more info.

Friends of the Erben Organ (FREO) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization formed in 2017 dedicated to the preservation, restoration, and appreciation of the Basilica’s historic 1868 Henry Erben organ and 1859 Hall & Labagh organ. FREO produces concerts, runs educational programs, and gives tours which highlight the cultural importance of these living artistic masterpieces.
