Greenwood Cemetery Guided Trolley Tour

  • Greenwood Cemetery 500 25th St Brooklyn, NY 11232-1755 United States (map)

The Brooklyn AGO is pleased to announce its first event of the 2018-2019 program year. On Saturday, October 6th from 11:00AM to 1:00PM, we'll take a private guided trolley tour of Brooklyn's historic Greenwood Cemetery, burial site of such notables as Leonard Bernstein, Henry Steinway (founder of Steinway Pianos), Elliott Carter, and painter Jean-Michel Basquiat. The cemetery is a place of astonishing natural beauty amid the urban landscape, and a wonderful site for reflection, meditation and learning.

Tickets for this event are $25, and can be paid by cash or check in advance or on the day of the tour. Since the size of the tour is limited, all those wishing to attend must RSVP by emailing Chapter Dean John A. Wolfe at dean@brooklynago.org or by mailing a check in advance. If the tour reaches full capacity, we won't be able to accept further reservations. Please get your reservations in early, and please see the flyer included with this event page for further details. The tour will be handicapped accessible, but any participants making use of a wheelchair must let the chapter know ahead of time, so that we can relay this info to the tour guides. If you have any questions or concerns about the tour, please feel free to reach out to us.
