The American Guild of Organists Brooklyn Chapter has established its annual George Mathison Memorial Scholarship Competition in memory of late Dean George Mathison.  Its goal is to encourage excellence in the performance of organ music and to inspire, educate and nurture future generations of organists.  The 2018 competition will feature six young competitors and a prize pool of $2,000, with judging by Mark Pacoe, Eric Plutz and William Randolph.  

Attendance at the Scholarship Competition is by invitation only.
