A celebration of the 100th anniversary of the installation of the Skinner, Op. 524 …. the largest pipe organ in Brooklyn and the largest Skinner in New York City. Concert Organist and St. Ann’s Director of Music, Gregory D’Agostino, will perform blockbuster works by Charles-Marie Widor, Franz Liszt, Robert Elmore; transcriptions of works by Billy Strayhorn (Duke Ellington’s arranger) and Jean Sibelius; a lush work by English composer George Thalben-Ball that features the warmest tones of the Skinner; and a festive work by Dudley Buck, former organist at St. Ann & the Holy Trinity (then Holy Trinity Church).
